Jimmy is a registered psychologist who uses a holistic approach that focuses on the mind and body to help people overcome life’s challenges so they can live the life they want. He is located in Carina, in the southeast suburbs of Brisbane, and can also consult with people via phone or online.
Approaching people with empathy, compassion, and respect Jimmy aims to understand people and their situation and then work with them to develop a way forward. This is achieved using evidenced-based therapies including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS).
Jimmy is experienced working with trauma, anxiety, depression, significant life changes, stress, grief and loss, and workplace difficulties. He has worked in Indigenous community health and psychiatric and private settings. He also has experience working with Veterans and people managing a work injury with WorkCover.
Jimmy is available to consult on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays during school hours.
